qui·e·tude (noun):
a state of stillness, calmness, and quiet in a person or place.
Life can be tough sometimes. Difficult or traumatic experiences can contribute to mental, emotional, and physical effects, including intense fear, relationship challenges, and difficulty sleeping. Life transitions and loss– break ups, graduations, moving, family changes, death, health concerns– can leave us feeling disoriented. During these seasons, psychotherapy and counseling can be helpful for our mental and emotional health.
I provide mental health therapy to support teens, young adults, and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and pregnancy and postpartum mood concerns. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and I’m happy to be a walking companion for a season. Using your personal values as a compass, I’ll support you as you make your path. Hopefully, along the way, you’ll learn to find moments of quietude–a stillness, peace, and self-knowing that will help you blaze your unique trail through life’s ups and downs.
